Easter weekend of 2017 my mother suffered a massive stroke near the top of her brainstem. The doctors said she should have died. My father suffered a major stroke almost a year to the day (April 2018) that my mother had her stroke. My sister-in-law quit her job to take care of my parents full time. Because of geographical distance, I am only able to help out on the weekends and then during the summer and holidays. During the school year I alternate weekends with another sister-in-law to help with their care. This blog is our story from the caregiver perspective. Caregiving is a sacrifice but it has also come with many blessings. We hope to share our joys and sorrows and perhaps some helpful insights as we walk this journey.
